2024/04/16- Island Ringing: Radio silent Ringing!
by hkbwsofficial

Today proved that Summer is well and truly on the day, with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees. The heat and humidity brought the mosquitos and sand flies with it, and sadly not many birds

Some highlights from the day included this little Common Tailorbird, which was one of the three birds caught today! Another surprise in this net was this gorgeous Lantern Bug! He most certainly was not the intended candidate, but it was nice to see this beautiful and strange species!

We hope everyone is staying safe in the unprecedented heat!
